Ben Foster has dropped a telling reaction to the World Cup display from Manchester United and Barcelona forward Marcus Rashford in the Panama vs England match.
On-loan Red Devils forward Marcus Rashford came off the bench in England’s opening Group L matches against Croatia and Ghana at this summer’s World Cup.
The 28-year-old Manchester United talent, who is out of contract with Barcelona at the end of the month, was handed his first start at the tournament on Saturday.
Rashford was unable to find the back of the net or pick up an assist during his 90 minutes against Panama at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on Saturday.

Ben Foster thinks he has spotted something between Marcus Rashford and England striker Harry Kane
England punched their ticket to the round of 32 at the World Cup after the Three Lions sealed their 2-0 victory over Group L opponents Panama at the weekend.
Real Madrid star Jude Bellingham broke the deadlock in the 62nd minute before Three Lions skipper Harry Kane netted only five minutes later against Panama.
Marcus Rashford was met with criticism for his display against Panama after the Barcelona forward opted to shoot from unusual angles rather than picking passes.
Ben Foster has suggested that he thinks Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane would have felt deeply “frustrated” by playing alongside Rashford for the Three Lions.
“But what I do think is we’ve probably found our front three now, because going forward we have to probably play that same front three,” he said on the Fozcast podcast.
“However, I will say that I think Harry Kane gets very frustrated playing with Marcus Rashford. Very, very frustrated.”
Marcus Rashford evidently does not want to return to Man Utd – There is no way back for him surely?!

Ben Foster’s verdict on Man Utd star Marcus Rashford after England’s World Cup win vs Panama
Thomas Tuchel’s men will now travel to the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta to face DR Congo in their round-of-32 clash on Wednesday evening UK time.
Foster admitted that he felt Rashford outshone Arsenal star Bukayo Saka after Thomas Tuchel started the England duo for the 2-0 win over Panama.
“And yet again, I think it’s just exposed the fact that we haven’t really got many of them that are able to pick pockets and do something brilliant, because we’ve tried Saka and Rashford on tonight,” he explained.
“Saka was a little bit anonymous to me. Rashford looked a little bit livelier, like he had more chances. Maybe the play was over his side a bit more.
“But nobody with a bit of individual brilliance to take somebody on [to] beat a man and maybe score a wondergoal.”
Rashford spent the entirety of the 2025-26 campaign away from Old Trafford after the Man Utd star was loaned out to La Liga champions Barcelona.
