Manchester United take on Wigan Athletic in the FA Cup on Monday night.
Erik ten Hag will be looking to start his path to redemption in the FA Cup with a win against the Latics, following his final defeat to Manchester City in 2023.
Standing in his way is Wigan boss Shaun Maloney, who is also a Manchester United fan, and his first-team squad.
His side involves a familiar face at Old Trafford in Ben Amos, who is looking forward to the clash against his old side.

Ben Amos on FA Cup clash
The former Manchester United goalkeeper sat down with the MEN before the tie and said how he’s excited to be facing his former club.
“It is an exciting prospect,” said Amos. “For the club any kind of income from a cup run is important. The manager was involved in some amazing FA Cup moments for the club so he is emotionally invested. He wants that again going forward.”
However, despite his excitement, Amos probably won’t be in contention to feature against the Red Devils. Sam Tickle has been preferred in goal, so Ben is likely to be among the subs when United visit the DW Stadium.
Ben Amos on Edwin van der Sar and David de Gea
He also spoke about some of his previous Manchester United teammates. In particular, he spoke about the influence of fellow goalkeepers Edwin van der Sar and David de Gea and the impact they had on him as a player and a person. He said:
“Edwin off the pitch was amazing. With advice, he had been there and done it and he was quite laid back and insightful and happy to help the younger keepers on and off the pitch.
“David (de Gea) came in and we are a similar age. He was an amazing talent and you could see that straight away. He was a good person as well which always helps.”
Amos did learn from some of the best in the business. We usually wish the academy star all the best, but we’re hoping the Red Devils come out on top in the clash on Monday night.
