Manchester United striker Rasmus Hojlund blew the team’s big chance against Liverpool to turn one point into three.
What a moment it could have been. Slipped through on goal, Rasmus Hojlund was presented with a one on one chance with Alisson in the second half against Liverpool.
He shot straight at Alisson, and then couldn’t get his footwork right to score the rebound.
It was almost a famous Diego Forlan moment at Anfield. But for now, Rasmus Hojlund’s wait for a Premier League goal goes on.

Dion Dublin explains miss
Hojlund has struggled to score in the Premier League and a lot of that can be put down to his teammates failing to create chances for him. On this occasion he did have the chance, and he blew it.
Former Manchester United striker Dion Dublin was providing punditry duty for BBC Sport and he says this miss was a knock-on effect of his recent struggles and lack of regular goalscoring chances.
Dublin explained: “Hojlund is still looking for that elusive goal. If he’d scored four or five recently then he’d have put that away.
“On the odd occasion when you know the chance is there , you can try too hard and you tense up. At the moment he’s not looking comfortable in front of goal.
“He’s not shy of putting himself into those positions though.”
Rasmus Hojlund message
Rasmus Hojlund had a post-game message for supporters which reflected on a well-earned team point.
He wrote on Instagram: “Tough game today. We knew It was gonna be hard. Thanks to the traveling fans.”
Hojlund is not hiding, and being a part of a big performance like this will help him settle. There are three more Premier League games in 2023 where he will hope to end his scoring drought.
If his teammates can create a few more chances for him like the one they laid on at Anfield, then he will surely get on the scoresheet. He won’t have to face Alisson every week.
