Manchester United have the mammoth task of taking on Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena this Wednesday looking for a positive result to start their Champions League campaign on the right track.

The Red Devils have been drawn into a group with Bayern, FC Copenhagen and Turkish side Galatasaray knowing that the German side are surely the favourites to progress through the group.

Bayern have added former Tottenham Hotspur striker and once-United target, Harry Kane to their ranks.

The German side have recently received a boost, with Jamal Musiala making a return from injury.

Jamala Musiala is back

Jamal Musiala started the first Bundesliga game of the season on August 18, before picking up an injury, which kept him out of the Germany squad for the international break.

However, Musiala made a successful return for Bayern as a substitute in their draw with Bayer Leverkusen at the weekend.

He is expected to be back in starting contention for Bayern will likely feature either in attacking midfield or down the left-hand side.

Musiala is a superb midfielder, only 20, who began his career in Chelsea’s academy, before quitting for the Bundesliga, taking the Jadon Sancho path.

He has established himself as a key player for Bayern, and he is one that United will need to keep an eye on. His inclusion back in the Bayern side makes them even heavier favourites.

Bayern also aiming for Kingsley Coman boost

Bayern Munich are also aiming to get Kingsley Coman back after he missed their match with Leverkusen at the weekend.

Bayern’s website reported he has returned to training, and he is in contention to provide a threat down the Bayern wings against United’s thinning pool of full-backs.
