Christopher Nkunku has been rewarded with a maiden call-up to the senior France national team following his electrifying form for RB Leipzig.
The 24-year-old will be hoping to make his Les Bleus debut in this month’s friendlies against Ivory Coast and South Africa.

The attacking midfielder’s unbelievable performances this season have finally seen him be named in Didier Deschamps’ French squad.
Leipzig’s number 18 has produced staggering numbers this season and his goal involvements have prompted Manchester United’s interim boss Ralf Rangnick to advise the Red Devils to pursue Nkunku.
ESPN reported last month that the German spoke to United club scouts and instructed they put him on United’s summer shortlist.
The versatile forward who can play on the wing, in-behind a number nine or as a second striker has a staggering 26 goals and 12 assists, 38 goal contributions, from 38 matches this season.
With his current Leipzig contract expiring in June 2024, the Bundesliga giants will be expecting all of Europe’s heavyweights to come calling this summer.

With Leipzig on track to qualify for the Champions League, the same cannot be said about Manchester United.
But with Rangnick, who signed Nkunku for Leipzig from PSG three years ago, moving upstairs to take up a two-year consultancy position when the season ends, maybe he could sway the French star’s thinking when choosing his next club.
Nkunku’s value was already increasing by the week due to his phenomenal consistency, but with him now set to make his international debut and break new ground, Leipzig are likely to use that as an opportunity to drive up his asking price even further.
Christopher Nkunku, who has a Champions League hat-trick against Manchester City to his name this season, will be in the squad alongside Manchester United duo Raphael Varane and Paul Pogba.
But Anthony Martial isn’t part of the 23-man squad despite making his loan move to Sevilla in January.
