Antony sets record

Antony set a record in Manchester United’s win, as the youngest Brazilian to ever score on his Premier League debut.

Considering 100 Brazilian players have played in the competition, report Opta, this is a notable landmark for the winger to set.

Manchester United’s new number 21 is just getting started, and we may have witnessed the beginning of a very special Red Devils spell.

United spent big to sign the Ajax star, and while expectations were high, there was also some early realism, that it may take him a little while to settle in. Antony showed this isn’t the case.

Erik ten Hag knows him from Ajax, and so player and manager understand exactly what is expected and communicated from one another. Antony will play a key role in Ten Hag’s rebuild.

His debut was a great way to start, and has United fans even more excited about what is to come in the weeks and years ahead.
