Manchester United winger Antony has been pictured back at Carrington as he prepares to return to action.

Antony was away at the World Cup for Brazil, and has now returned as he gears up for club football.

Antony posted a picture on his Instagram story reel on Monday showing he has returned for United.

Wearing a long-sleeved United training top with snood, he wrote: “God bless everyone’s week.”

Antony’s Brazil were knocked out in the World Cup quarter-finals at the hands of Croatia.

He took the defeat hard, and former Brazil great Pele reached out to him after the game with words of encouragement.

Antony featured mainly as a substitute at the World Cup, playing just 171 minutes in total.

Add in almost 10 days of rest since their elimination already, and there is a good chance Antony is available for Manchester United’s Premier League game with Nottingham Forest on December 27.

It’s even possible he could make the bench for this week’s Carabao Cup tie with Burnley, while his return suggests international teammates Fred and Casemiro may be with him too.

Antony missed Manchester United’s final games before the tournament with a minor injury sustained in late October.

He can now focus on a busy few months ahead after a frenetic and pretty successful start to his Red Devils career, which has seen him net three Premier League goals already.
