Scott McTominay was one of Manchester United’s star players on the night, even though he only played the first 45 minutes.
His performance was appreciated in particular by teammate and new signing Antony, who left him an appreciative message on Instagram.
Elsewhere on social media, it was centre-back Raphael Varane picking up praise for his outstanding display.
The France international posted on Instagram after the game to celebrate another clean sheet, and drew responses from three of his teammates.
David de Gea, Lisandro Martinez and Tyrell Malacia all also showed their appreciation for the World Cup winning defender.
Every time Varane has started this season, Manchester United have won. He is becoming increasingly important.
He touched the ball 93 times, completing 93 per cent of his passes, and won all four of his aerial duels. United are lucky to have him.
