Manchester United winger Antony has explained his conversation with Erik ten Hag after winning the Carabao Cup.
The Brazilian explained how even while on the pitch at Wembley, Ten Hag’s focus had turned to winning his next trophy.
Antony said that Ten Hag’s relentless mindset is spreading through the Manchester United squad.
He is thrilled to have his former Ajax boss in charge and seems delighted Ten Hag pushed to bring him to Old Trafford.

Antony on conversation with Ten Hag
Antony spoke to the club website about his on pitch discussions with Erik ten Hag – after the pair had stopped dancing with Lisandro Martinez.
The winger said: “Erik is essential. His energy, confidence, intelligence and strategy are incredible. Everything he tells us before the match do, happens on the pitch, so he’s part of this.
“It’s my third trophy alongside him, we hugged after the match and he said there’s more to come. We have the same mentality.”
He said that Ten Hag’s determination is rubbing off on the rest of the players, not just the pair he brought with him from Ajax.
Antony explained: “I’m not one to be happy with little, I want trophies and everything, and there are a lot of players that also think like that.
“This mentality is spreading withing the squad and everyone is rowing the boat towards the same direction.”
Manchester United return to cup action this week with a FA Cup clash against West Ham at Old Trafford, with a place in the quarter-finals up for grabs.
Whatever happens from here is a bonus for United. The objective in Erik ten Hag’s first season was to win a trophy, and he has already done it.
A place in the top four was also a target, one which looked tricky. Right now United are looking strong, sitting in third, regarded as outsiders for a late title push.
The next league game is away against Liverpool at the weekend. If United leave Anfield with three points, then talk of a title push will begin to really intensify.
