Now that Santos is a United player, we have learned which squad number will be worn by the 22-year-old.
Santos received the No. 17 shirt at Chelsea after joining the club in 2023.
United have confirmed that he will wear the same shirt number following his switch to Old Trafford.
Santos will now join up with United for pre-season training, which should help him settle in time for the 2026/27 campaign, beginning in August.
After playing a bit-part role behind Moises Caicedo and Enzo Fernandez at Stamford Bridge, Santos is arriving at United with a point to prove.
He also becomes the first signing made by United since Carrick was appointed head coach.

Who previously wore the number 17 shirt at Man Utd?
The number 17 shirt was last worn by Alejandro Garnacho, who was sold to Chelsea last year. It was also worn in the past by Andy Cole, Nani and Henrik Larsson.
Cole was given the number 17 shirt when he joined United in 1995; however, he took the number nine following Brian McClair’s departure a year later.
Hopefully, Santos can make a name for himself in the number 17 shirt at United.
