Manchester United’s stars were thrilled to secure another victory to move up the Premier League table.
There have been enough lows this season that Manchester United’s players know not to get ‘too high’ after a few victories either.
But there is some optimism creeping back in after an unbeaten start to 2024, with the latest victory an impressive 3-0 win over West Ham.
It was an unusually straightforward win for Erik ten Hag‘s side, soured only by the worry of Lisandro Martinez suffering a potentially season ending injury.

Manchester United players react to win
Manchester United’s players have been using social media to comment on the win, which took the Red Devils above West Ham in the table.
Goalkeeper Andre Onana was celebrating a first clean sheet of 2024. He wrote: “Big win at home. Let’s focus on what’s next.”
Onana made some important early saves before United really took over the game, and this was a well-timed confidence boost for him.
Marcus Rashford took a bit of a step back in terms of performance for this one, hitting both of his two shots off target.
He was simply happy to contribute to the team’s win in other ways, creating two goalscoring chances.
He wrote: “Plus three points! Well done boys. Let’s build on this momentum.”
Striker Rasmus Hojlund commented on his own page: “Couldn’t have had a better birthday,” referring to scoring on the day he turned 21.
Good vibes back at Manchester United
It’s clear to see there are good spirits in the Manchester United dressing room right now, with a togetherness on and off the pitch.
This team could have imploded amid the poor run of results last season, with many fearing that Erik ten Hag might end up losing his job if it got worse.
While new investors Ineos will be monitoring what is happening, they will be observing a team which is playing for their manager, which appears to be moving in the right direction again.
It only takes one defeat to spike all this momentum, but Manchester United fans will be looking for this streak to continue as long as possible.
