Manchester United have been linked to USMNT midfielder Tyler Adams and he featured in their 2-0 win over Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Now that Elliot Anderson, Mateus Fernandes and Sandro Tonali are all off the market, Manchester United must flick to the next page of their transfer shortlist. Tyler Adams is one name that has been mentioned.
Sporting director Jason Wilcox has led interest in Adams, with United tracking the Bournemouth star towards the end of 2025.
United appreciate Adams’ character, and his leadership skills have been on full display for the United States during the 2026 World Cup.

Which transfer targets do you NOT want Man Utd to sign?
Let's turn the transfer question on it's head, and give Jason Wilcox some advice…
USA press react to Tyler Adams performance
Host nation United States are through to the Round of 16 at the World Cup after a 2-0 win over Bosnia and Herzegovina in the early hours of Thursday morning.
Adams played the full match in the heart of USA’s midfield, and his performance was raved about by national media.
FOX Sports gave Adams a straight 10/10 rating for his performance (Admittedly, all US players were rated 10).
They wrote: “Tyler has been an unsung hero. He does all the dirty work and patrols the midfield so well. In a game that was as scrappy as it was, with so much of the play getting disrupted by choppy fouls, he remained extremely composed.”
USA Today gave Adams a 7/10 rating, but argued it would be “catastrophic” for the USMNT if they lost him for any amount of time. They praised his “sublime performance” against Bosnia and Herzegovina.
DAZN gave Adams a 6.7 rating and wrote: “Midfield discipline and tactical awareness; recovered from a first-half collision.”
