Amad put in a lively performance for Manchester United against Lyon and says he is staying patient.
Manchester United beat Lyon 1-0 with a goal in the second half from rarely seen midfielder Donny van de Beek.
United arguably had the best chances of the game inside the first five minutes amid a frenetic start, with Antony having a shot saved and Amad skewing a one on one wide.
Amad had another shot well saved later in the first half, he just kept his high shot too central, rather than into the top corner.

Amad message to Manchester United fans
Amad could have scored, and he knows it, paying reference to his missed chances after the game with a message on Instagram.
He wrote: “We Keep pushing 🔥🙌🏾 the goals will come, you should never be in a hurry.”
The early missed chances were referenced by Erik ten Hag after the game, who told MUTV of Amad and Antony’s misses: “We started with three massive chances. That is the straight criticism, you have to score.

“That was our problem last year and we have to realise that and be more ruthless.”
Amad knows it is not all about goals
Amad performed well aside from failing to be clinical, but this is just pre-season, where overall performances and building up fitness are even more important than scoring.
The Ivorian knows that simply goals alone won’t push him into the Manchester United first team on a regular basis.
He has, after all, scored against AC Milan in the Europa League, and he also netted at Old Trafford against Rayo Vallecano in pre-season last year, and was still sent out on loan.
The 20-year-old stood out with his movement, and his off ball work, both of which are going to help him to catch Erik ten Hag’s eye for positive reasons.
He created one chance, and won possession back twice for the Red Devils, while completing 18 of 23 passes attempted.
A step up in the quality of opposition on the US tour could bring the best out of Amad, with these first two games simply the warm up.
