Amad pokes fun at Eric Bailly’s altercation with Villa’s Emiliano Buendia

Manchester United youngster Amad has poked fun at Eric Bailly‘s altercation with Aston Villa’s Emiliano Buendia in yesterday’s pre-season game.

In the 2-2 draw between the two Premier League sides in Perth, the Reds defender and the Argentine got involved in a heated exchange towards the end of the clash.

As the ball got closer towards the near side, the Ivory Coast international looked to show his superior physicality by going to shoulder-to-shoulder with the playmaker before marshalling the former Norwich City man off the pitch.

The 25-year-old South American wasn’t best pleased with the former Villarreal man’s conduct and squared up to the defender despite giving up a notable height difference to the African.

Bailly, who is more than capable of being overzealous no matter if the game is a friendly or not, was booked for his involvement in the dispute.

Following United’s fourth and final game of the non-European stretch of pre-season, Bailly couldn’t resist posting a picture of the clash between him and Buendia on his Instagram account.

As well as Amad, Bailly’s former Manchester United teammates Paul Pogba and Odion Ighalo reacted to the post, but it was the former Atalanta youngster’s tongue in cheek comment which stood out.

Amad’s comment read: “Don’t try this at home.”

According to the Mail, Bailly is attracting interest from former manager Jose Mourinho, but the Ivorian is ready to rebuff interest from the man who brought him to Manchester United, in order to fight for his place under Erik ten Hag.

United’s number three will be competing alongside Harry Maguire, Raphael Varane, Victor Lindelof and new signing Lisandro Martinez for minutes this season.
