Manchester United winger Amad came off the bench for Ivory Coast in their second friendly of the international break.
After Bryan Mbeumo pulled out of Cameroon’s friendlies in Australia, club teammate Amad Diallo was the Manchester United player with the busiest travel schedule.
Amad’s Ivory Coast flew all the way to South Korea for a friendly on Saturday, before jetting back to the UK for a match against Scotland, held at Everton’s stadium.
For the second game in a row, Amad was named on the bench. That’s just fine for now.
After playing a heavy role during the AFCON and returning with a bang in a derby against City, Amad’s form had been trailing off a little in recent weeks.
It is a positive that he has had a little rest, only introduced as a 69th minute substitute in the 1-0 win over Scotland.

Who was your favourite Manchester United winger in the 1990s/2000s?
Let us know why you made your pick!
Amad only needs 21 minutes
Amad only needed 21 minutes against Scotland to show how dangerous he can be.
In his brief cameo performance, Amad completed 11 of 11 passes and managed to create two goalscoring chances
It was devilishly efficient, and for good measure he tested the goalkeeper with one shot on target too.
Amad also managed to win a free-kick for his team, with the referee calling a foul this time, unlike when he was hauled down inside the penalty box in the last United game.
In the previous Ivory Coast friendly against South Korea, Amad actually managed to provide an assist in their impressive 4-0 away win.
He had a little more time in that one, playing 26 minutes.
Regardless of whether an Ivory Coast teammate is putting his chances away or not, Amad is creating chances and doing what he needs to do.
This was an ideal outcome from the international break for him and Manchester United.
Amad came through injury-free, got a little rest, and looked really sharp in his brief appearances.
Now let’s hope he returns to finish the season strongly for United, before he heads to the World Cup.
