Amad praises Lisandro Martinez for his impressive passing
Martinez is first and foremost an incredible defender, silencing Erling Haaland most times they meet, despite the big discrepancy in size.
But Martinez is equally impressive on the ball.
Speaking on the latest episode of Inside Carrington, Amad praised his teammate for his brilliant ball-playing ability.
“Martinez is very good at giving this kind of ball, because before the game, when you talk with him, he will say, ‘You do the run, and I will give you the perfect ball.’
“Sometimes you don’t even need to communicate with him, he knows already, when you do the run, he already knows and gives a perfect ball.”
In particular, Amad is referencing Martinez’s excellent long passing against Man City in 2024, which saw him assist the Ivorian’s winner.
