Amad Diallo is set to be given a new deal at Manchester United in the coming weeks.
Diallo has been out on loan at Sunderland this year and has impressed massively. The young winger even scooped up Sunderland’s Player of the Season award during his spell at the Stadium of Light.
Now it looks destined that Diallo is coming back to Old Trafford and is certainly in Erik ten Hag‘s plans.
So much so that the idea of a new deal is set to formulate in the coming weeks. More on this below.
Fabrizio Romano discusses new Amad Diallo deal
Reliable journalist Fabrizio Romano took to his YouTube channel to give an update on Diallo’s future at the club.
“When Man United signed Amad Diallo, it was a dream for the player. Amad only wanted Man United – he loves Manchester United, really.
“And he hopes to have an opportunity in the summer. The idea of Erik ten Hag is to give him a chance in the preseason to check and test Amad Diallo again in the preseason tour and then to see what they want to do with him. But believe me, Diallo is crazy for Man United.”
Romano then went on to discuss his proposed new deal: “For Manchester United, there will also be discussions with representatives o Diallo in the next months over a new deal.”
Diallo really does deserve a chance at Old Trafford. He’s gone away, worked hard and proven why he should be in with a shot at a space in the first team.
Goals have been scarce from attackers bar Marcus Rashford this season, so Diallo’s return will be welcomed by fans.
He’ll essentially feel like a new signing, without having ti splash out a fortune on someone else – meaning we can strengthen in other positions.
We can’t wait to see Amad back in red!
