Amad Diallo has been on a slow road to recovery at Manchester United after he suffered a knee injury all the way back in pre-season.
During a friendly match with Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal side, Amad was introduced at half-time with Manchester United 2-0 up against the Gunners.
But just 10 minutes after coming on, the Ivorian went down and then subsequently limped off the pitch with an apparent ankle injury.
He hasn’t featured since, but there have been numerous updates to indicate he’s nearly back, including a message from the man himself as he nears a United return.

Amad Diallo nears a return
Taking to Instagram, Amad Diallo posted a picture of himself in Manchester United training gear, with the caption, “Just a little longer before returning.”
Really promising. He is reportedly set to be back in the United setup after the next international break.
Amad could solve Ten Hag’s problems
Diallo definitely still has a part to play at Manchester United. The wonderkid was electric on loan at Sunderland last season and picked up the PFA Vertu Motors Championship Fans’ Player of the Year award for the 2022/23 season.
Can he replicate this fine form in the Premier League? It’s worth a try when he’s back.
The right-wing slot is massively up in the air this season, with the Antony and Jadon Sancho debacles. Facundo Pellistri is also being given a shot – but we back Diallo as a better candidate once he’s back on his feet.
He also has a lot to prove. With no pre-season under his belt, he didn’t even get the shot say Kobbie Mainoo got to impress United fans.
Amad will also be a useful asset due to the fact he can also be deployed down the middle. Handy with our lack of squad depth at the moment.
We can’t wait to see Amad back in action!
