Alexis Sanchez has reportedly dreamed of playing for Manchester United for most of his career.

According to a report from seven years ago, when Sanchez was playing for Italian side Udinese, an international team-mate of his said, “All Alexis wants is to play for Manchester United. He’d give anything for that.”

Back then, unfortunately for the front-man, then-United manager Sir Alex Ferguson had no interest in signing him. Sanchez went on to do well at Barcelona before arguably hitting his peak at Arsenal, where he has demonstrated his ability to play and star in the Premier League.

It certainly shines a different perspective on the idea that Sanchez’s move is motivated by money – the idea of signing for one of the world’s biggest clubs and wearing one of its most iconic shirts is a privilege that the forward clearly appreciates.
