Alejandro Garnacho lifted his second trophy in two months over the past weekend and has now sent his Argentina captain a message.
While he only made one appearance during the tournament, Alejandro Garnacho seems to have had an incredible time with Argentina at Copa America.
It was his first international tournament and it was one to remember as Argentina went on to lift a second consecutive Copa America and a third straight major trophy.
Argentina beat Colombia in the final 1-0, with Lisandro Martinez once again showing himself to be impeccable in defence including a last-minute goal-saving tackle.
But now, Garnacho has been on Instagram and has sent Lionel Messi a message as he heads on holiday before returning to Manchester United.

The dust has now settled from both the Euro 2024 and Copa America finals, and of United’s two wonderkids, it’ll be Garnacho who is the happier.
Despite playing just 66 minutes all tournament, Garnacho seemed to be a valuable member of the Argentine squad and he has now sent his captain, Messi, a message.
Underneath Messi’s message of thanks to the fans of the Argentine national team, Garnacho responded with a six-word message.
“Thank you for so much captain!”, he wrote before adding a prayer emoji.
Despite idolizing Cristiano Ronaldo growing up and then at United, on Argentinian duty, Garnacho has labelled Messi as the ‘best in the world’.

Now, the 20-year-old will be heading off on holiday before returning to Carrington likely around the first week of August and will then face a race to be fit for the Community Shield.

While Garnacho will now be enjoying a well-earned few weeks off, it’ll be unavoidable to begin thinking about his Carrington return.
The Argentine winger will be one of the first names on Erik ten Hag’s teamsheet next season and when pre-season began with a 1-0 defeat to Rosenborg his attacking qualities were missed.
Garnacho will also have been delighted to see the arrival of Joshua Zirkzee who as a number nine facilitates play far more than Rasmus Hojlund.
This should see the wingers thrive while playing with him, and Hojlund can learn a thing or two from the Dutchman about doing so.
The addition of Ruud Van Nistelrooy will also be of great benefit to Garnacho, as his decision-making is probably the one thing holding him back at the moment, something the new coach had no trouble with.
