Manchester United players are trying to keep spirits high despite a run of poor results.

The Reds endured a disappointing start to the season which cost Erik ten Hag his job, but now Ruben Amorim is struggling with the same squad.

Manchester United are positioned 15th in the Premier League after Sunday’s 1-0 defeat to Tottenham. A quick turnaround is required, or else it could develop into a complete disaster campaign for the Reds.

The only chance of success this season is pinned on the Europa League and FA Cup – but winning those competitions will be a stretch if the injury crisis continues.

United have misfired in attacking positions and, to make matters worse, they’ve now lost star player Amad Diallo for a long period.

Alejandro Garnacho rewards female fan

A lot United’s first-team are fond of their furry friends.

Alejandro Garnacho is no different with his two dogs Freko and Burrows, who he regularly shares pictures of across social media.

However, fear struck when his two dogs escaped recently, but thankfully, they were discovered by a woman who spotted the furry pair on the loose while driving near Garnacho’s house.

Leah Smith, 26, managed to capture Freko and Burrows into her car and drove to United’s Carrington training ground, having recognised them from Garnacho’s social media posts.

Smith was rewarded generously by Garnacho and his partner Eva Garcia for her good deed.

“Once they confirmed the dogs belonged to Garnacho, they politely asked if I could take them back to his home, which I did,” Smith told The Sun. “His partner, Eva, was waiting and was very grateful.”

Smith would later receive a phone call from the grateful couple who rewarded her tickets for the players’ family area at Old Trafford for United’s win over Southampton last month.

Garnacho making dreams a reality

Garnacho has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford, but the admiration he receives from United fans has never faded.

Seen as a bright spark in Ruben Amorim’s side, a long-term injury to Amad means that it’s time for Garnacho to step up.

Smith was thankful towards Garnacho and his partner Eva, crediting them for giving her children a day they will never forget.

She added: “My children will never forget this day. Thank you Garna & Eva.”
