Manchester United youngster Alejandro Garnacho has finally made his debut for Argentina, after coming off the bench.
The 18-year-old came on in the 74th minute, replacing Nicolas Gonzalez in the left-wing position.
Argentina won the game 2-0, with goals from Lionel Messi and German Pezzella securing the win for the South Americans.
Garnacho‘s appearance takes a step towards securing his long-term future with Argentina. Two more appearances and he won’t be able to switch to Spain – .

Garnacho makes Argentina debut
Here’s the moment Garnacho came on for the Argentines.
Garnacho featured for the final 16 minutes, although didn’t really make any sort of major impact, as reflected in his 6.1 match rating given by FotMob.
However, Garnacho won’t care as today was just about making his national side debut. Now he just needs a couple more to fully secure his future with the side.
Due to his age, Garnacho must play three matches for Argentina until the nation is guaranteed that he cannot switch allegiances to Spain in the future – although he assures this won’t happen.
One down, two to go for Manchester United’s star boy. Next up is a friendly against Indonesia next week, where he may even get the chance to start.
Garnacho got to share the same pitch with Lionel Messi, meaning at the humble age of 18 – he’s already been on the same side as Cristiano Ronaldo and the seven-time Ballon d’Or winner. Not bad at all.
