Manchester United teenager James Nolan has been spotted in first-team training today ahead of the EFL Cup clash with Crystal Palace.
United don’t really have time to celebrate Saturday’s win at Burnley too much.
Erik ten Hag’s men are back in action quickly, taking on Crystal Palace in the EFL Cup on Tuesday night.
A spot in the fourth round is up for grabs and Ten Hag will be desperate to build some momentum after Saturday’s win.
This week presents one of those scheduling quirks as United face Palace twice at Old Trafford in the space of a few days, with fans no doubt expecting two victories.
James Nolan spotted in first-team training
Photos from United’s training session at Carrington this morning have now emerged with some interesting appearances.
Harry Maguire and Mason Mount were in training ahead of the Palace game whilst a number of youngsters were also given chances.
United’s official site notes that Dan Gore and James Nolan were both in training whilst 17-year-old defender Ethan Williams has posted on Instagram that he was involved too.
Nolan was pictured alongside the likes of Christian Eriksen and Anthony Martial, as seen above.
Ten Hag may well be tempted to name Nolan on the bench against Palace tomorrow night, with a view to a senior debut for the teenager.

Who is Manchester United talent Nolan?
Nolan hails from Chorley in Lancashire and is the younger brother of current Chorley midfielder Joe Nolan, once of Preston North End and Blackburn Rovers.
The 17-year-old has been making his way up in the United ranks and scored against Middlesbrough in the Under-18 Premier League earlier this season.
Nolan has shown his versatility by playing as a left back, right back and even centre back when called upon.
Nolan was simply outstanding last season with six goals and four assists in the Under-18 Premier League, even captaining the young Red Devils on occasion.
Now featuring in Premier League 2, Nolan is making great progress at United and seems to have caught the attention of Ten Hag amid ongoing issues for first-team full backs.
