Manchester United are set to release 10 young players, according to The Mail.
The most high profile is James Wilson, who was once the club’s brightest strike prospect, and scored four first team goals.
Wilson suffered with injuries and poor loan spells and at 23-years-old, it’s time for him to move on.
The 10 set to leave
- James Wilson
- Regan Poole
- Millen Baars
- Zak Dearnley
- Matty Willock
- DJ Buffonge
- Matty Olusonde
- Callum Whelan
- Tom Sang
- Tyrell Warren
For the older players on the list, Wilson (23) and Olusonde (21), Willock (22), their release is especially inevitable.
United sacked under-23 boss Ricky Sbragia this week after a poor season and it’s clear that an overhaul is coming.
Regan Poole has had a good loan spell at Newport, while Zak Dearnley scored for Oldham under Paul Scholes, before his season was ended by injury.
Millen Baars signed for United from Ajax in 2017, scored in the UEFA Youth League this year, and his name is one of the biggest surprises on the list.
He turns 19 at the end of the month and he could be the one who is most likely to go on and make United regret releasing him.
