Manchester United fans wanted to make their feelings heard on Mason Mount after the Red Devils’ final Premier League clash at Old Trafford in August against Burnley.
The Red Devils returned to Premier League action only days after Manchester United crashed out of the Carabao Cup in a humiliating defeat on Wednesday evening.
United came from 2-0 down against Grimsby Town in the second half to send the second-round Carabao Cup clash at Blundell Park to a penalty shootout.
But the Red Devils fell short in a thrilling shootout during the midweek and Grimsby Town defeated United 12-11 on penalties and progressed to the third round.
The result against the League Two outfit on Wednesday saw the pressure turn up a notch on United manager Ruben Amorim going into the Burnley clash on Saturday.
United have endured a mixed start to the 2025-26 season at Old Trafford under Ruben Amorim, who has only managed one point from the opening two matches.

Mason Mount returned to the starting XI for Saturday’s clash against Burnley after he came off the bench in the second-round Carabao Cup defeat at Blundell Park.
The 26-year-old England international started in the left-sided No 10 role, with Bryan Mbeumo out on the right and Matheus Cunha leading the frontline at Old Trafford.
Manchester United fans on X, formerly known as Twitter, were deeply impressed with Mount’s “pressing” in the first half on Saturday in Ruben Amorim’s tactical system.
“And props to Mount. His pressing is a great asset to have and he is showing again why [Ruben] Amorim keeps picking him,” one X user pointed out.
Another simply tweeted: “Mason Mount, the pressing monster.”
Someone else commented: “Mason Mount has been absolutely incredible so far [in] the start of this half. His pressing. His energy. The pass to [Bryan] Mbeumo. Been absolutely exceptional.”
“A pressing animal. Mason Mount,” a fourth added.
While a fifth United fan said: “Mount’s pressing is unbelievable!!! He has energy.”

“Ruben Amorim likes pressing. The ability to press is a key requirement for him. This is the reason Mount is starting,” an eighth posted.
What Man Utd fans need to know about the Premier League result against Burnley at Old Trafford
United finally broke the deadlock in the first half after Burnley captain Josh Cullen put the ball in the back of his own net after a huge deflection inside the box.
Bruno Fernandes whipped in a dangerous cross and Casemiro fired a bullet header off the crossbar, only for the ball to ricochet off the back of Burnley’s Josh Cullen.
Cullen’s mistake was the difference-maker in the first half and United maintained their 1-0 lead going into half-time after a dominant performance over Burnley.
Burnley climbed back into the contest in the second half after Lyle Foster scored the equaliser, but the moment of euphoria was short-lived for Scott Parker’s men.
Bryan Mbeumo netted only two minutes after Lyle Foster’s equaliser to put United back into the lead over the Clarets in the Premier League clash at Old Trafford.
However, Burnley manager Scott Parker watched the Clarets fight back once again and his side pulled level after Jaidon Anthony cancelled out United’s lead.
United were awarded a penalty at Old Trafford in the dying stages of the match and Bruno Fernandes stepped up and converted the winner from the spot-kick.
