City v United team news

Rangnick has said ahead of the game that Scott McTominay and Edinson Cavani are available for selection here.

He added that Cavani is not ready to start the match and is a potential substitute option, but McTominay is in contention to start.

For City, Ruben Dias and Nathan Ake are ruled out, which weakens Guardiola’s central defensive options.

Our prediction: City v United

This is about a tough a task as it gets in Premier League terms right now.

That said, United have a good recent record at the Etihad Stadium and Tottenham showed a recent blueprint to beat City on their own turf.

So we’ve backed United to grab an away win, and if this is to be Rangnick’s one and only derby in charge, what a result that would be.

Our prediction: City 0-1 United
