Manchester United vs Tottenham team news

Edinson Cavani and Raphael Varane have been pictured training this week after missing the Manchester derby.

Cristiano Ronaldo resumed training on Thursday, according to Ralf Rangnick and all three players are available for selection here.

Luke Shaw also missed the derby and is still positive for Covid and will not play in this one.

Scott McTominay is an injury doubt with a calf problem, with Rangnick saying he is loathe to risk the midfielder ahead of the big game with Atletico Madrid next week.

Manchester United vs Tottenham: Our prediction

United simply have to offer a reaction here in the shape of a big performance.

Tottenham have Harry Kane and Heung-min Son who are in top form right now and ripped United apart on their own patch last season 6-1.

Rangnick has to get a win here. A draw and even a disjointed performance just will not cut the mustard with Atletico Madrid round the corner and the top four slipping away.

We’ll back United to get a victory, and the nature of the display will determine how positive the reaction post-match will be.

Our prediction: Manchester United 2-1 Tottenham
