Manchester United will take on West Ham United in the Premier League this weekend. Erik ten Hag must now consider every match a must-win.

Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United picked up a 2-1 victory over Brentford at Old Trafford with goals from Alejandro Garnacho and Rasmus Hojlund easing the pressure on the Dutch manager.

However, a frustrating 1-1 draw for Ten Hag, which was mixed with some strange decisions from the former Ajax coach, against Fenerbahce in the UEFA Europa League has meant the mood has sunk once again.

The fixtures don’t get any easier for the Red Devils. United takes on West Ham United over the weekend, and three points are a must.

Manchester United vs West Ham United date & kick-off time

United return to Premier League action at the London Stadium with Julen Lopetegui’s Hammers the next test for Ten Hag’s Red Devils.

Ten Hag’s side play the Hammers this Sunday, with kick-off coming at 2pm on that weekend. Last season, United lost 2-0 to West Ham at the London Stadium and will be hoping to avoid a repeat of that this time around.

Manchester United vs West Ham TV and live stream details

Despite the Red Devils playing on Sunday, which avoids the Saturday blackout times of 2:30-5 pm, the game will not be shown on television in the United Kingdom.

Chelsea play Newcastle United at Stamford Bridge at 2 pm which will be shown on Sky Sports, which will then be followed by Arsenal’s clash with Liverpool at 4:30 pm.

This means that United’s clash against the Hammers will not be available to watch in the United Kingdom.

MUTV will have live commentary of the game but you will need to sign up to the website and pay a subscription fee before being able to listen to the game.

Manchester United’s record vs West Ham United

As mentioned, the last time that United visited London they suffered a 2-0 defeat to the Hammers with Ten Hag’s job under pressure back then.

In fact, United’s record away from home against the Hammers is a rather poor one with the Red Devils not recording an away victory since September 2021, when Jesse Lingard scored a brilliant late winner.

During the 2022/23 campaign, which was Ten Hag’s debut season at the club, the Red Devils suffered a 1-0 defeat at the London Stadium after a huge mistake from David De Gea.

Manchester United team news

Brazilian winger Antony, who was a substitute against Fenerbahce, had to be stretchered off late on in Turkey and could be a doubt for the Hammers clash.

Amad Diallo was not given a chance in the Europa League and the Ivorian, who has been one of United’s most dangerous attacking threats, has been sidelined in recent weeks.

Rasmus Hojlund came on as a substitute during the Europa League draw and he looks set to start with Joshua Zirkzee failing to impress once again.

Manuel Ugarte put in a good performance against Fenerbahce and the Uruguayan will be hoping to keep his spot in the first team.

United are without Harry Maguire, Leny Yoro, Luke Shaw, Tyrell Malacia and Mason Mount for the game this weekend.
