Who was Manchester United's man-of-the-match against Valencia?

Well done to everybody who made it through all 90 minutes against Valencia last night.
It was a typically drab performance with the attack only playing well in spurts and lacking cohesion.
Romelu Lukaku was wasteful and clumsy up front and Alexis Sanchez was his usual underwhelming self.
It was the sort of performance which saw United crash out of the Champions League in the knockout stages last season, with Sevilla catching Jose Mourinho’s men on the counter attack.

This time fortunately opponents Valencia had no cutting edge. Four points from two games isn’t a bad way to start the group, but we will see where we stand after the next two games with Juventus.

Trying to look on the positive side of the performance, United In Focus asked fans to tell us who was their man-of-the-match last night at Old Trafford.

Fans responded with two names who dominated the discussion, Luke Shaw and Marcus Rashford.
Rashford came closest to breaking the deadlock with his late curling free-kick hitting the bar.

Seeing Marcus Rashford getting a start was one of the biggest positives and reward for his goal off the bench at the weekend.
He needs to start this weekend against Newcastle United as we look to record a win before the international break and sign off with a bit of positivity.
