Manchester United emerged 4-2 winners against Newport County in the FA Cup.
Erik ten Hag will be happy with his team’s response after they lost a two-goal lead at Rodney Parade. Goals from Antony and Rasmus Hojlund ensured the win.
Hojlund, the scorer of the last, worked his socks off all game. The Danish striker once again proved himself to be one of the engines of the Manchester United side – which gained respect from pundits.
But as he worked hard, chances were few and far between. A lot of this came down to the fact he was not getting service from his wingers.
Rasmus Hojlund goes ballistic at Alejandro Garnacho
Hojlund kept his cool for most of the fixture, but there was one moment he lost it with his fellow teammate Alejandro Garnacho.
It was the 80th minute when the Dane finally blew his lid. Hojlund was poised near the six-yard box to tap home if Garnacho was to find him.
Instead, the young Argentine decided to cut in and ultimately was dispossessed by the Newport defender.
Manchester United’s leading man let out an almighty roar at his fellow wonderkid, indicating he was more than unhappy with Garnacho’s decision-making.
This was a regular occurrence throughout the fixture.

We absolutely love Garnacho, but Hojlund could have had a hat-trick in Sunday’s game.
There were multiple opportunities when the easy pass was on for Hojlund to tap home, however, he just simply couldn’t seem to find him. It also isn’t just Garnacho’s fault, the proof is in the pudding.
- None of Højlund’s last three goals have been assisted by any Manchester United player
- Five out of Højlund’s eight goals this season have not been assisted by any Manchester United player
This is a squad issue. Hojlund is not getting the service he deserves.
He was right to lose his cool against Garnacho, and his frustrations also came out in the celebration of his well-deserved goal. They must do better, as we have a real gem on our hands.
