Manchester United travel to St Mary’s to face Southampton on Sunday afternoon.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has choices to make and saw United perform impressively in the 4-1 win over Istanbul Basaksehir on Tuesday.
Solskjaer must consider who’s in the best physical shape. That’s something we don’t know about but he did offer an injury update during his pre-match press conference, streamed on the club’s official app at 1:30 on 27/11.
He said Scott McTominay and Paul Pogba didn’t train with the group this morning and are ‘very unlikely’ to be fit. Both players weren’t even on the bench on Tuesday either.
Solskjaer will also have one eye on the forthcoming visit of Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday, with United needing a point to ensure Champions League progress.
He will likely have a bespoke tactical plan for that game – United played a five-man backline in France – but the setup for the Southampton game is likely to be more conventional.

Solskjaer also offered an update on Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Victor Lindelof and Marcus Rashford.
He said all three got through training today, and he is hopeful that the trio will all be fit to play on Sunday.
Will Solskjaer be tempted to play an unchanged side?
Mason Greenwood is perhaps the most likely to come into the frontline after an impressive midweek cameo.
But Rashford played on the right against Istanbul and impressed, while Greenwood is still feeling his way back.
Edinson Cavani could lead the line as he did on Tuesday, when he linked so well with Bruno Fernandes.
Alex Telles should continue at left-back, in the continued absence of Luke Shaw.
Donny van de Beek played in a deeper midfield role in midweek, and Solskjaer may decide to go with the sturdier Nemanja Matic away from home – but he shouldn’t.
Van de Beek quickened up United’s passing and has the quality to take the ball in tight areas against a Saints side who press relentlessly.
It would be a first league start for the Dutchman, as well as Cavani if Solskjaer starts them both again on the back of their strong European performances.
