Manchester United are back in action on Saturday in the Premier League against Brentford, here’s our predicted line-up.
Finally, the Premier League is back after a long international break which has seen both Alejandro Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo handed their senior international debuts.
The break also allowed us to see Bruno Fernandes at his shining best, during Portugal’s win over Sweden as he scored and assisted.
But while it may have been a good break for several Manchester United players, we can’t wait to get back to club football.
So with that in mind, we’ve predicted the line-up Erik ten Hag could name for Saturday’s 8 pm kick-off against Brentford.
Here’s what we’ve gone with…

Predicted Manchester United line-up to face Brentford
Back in action two weeks after that heart-stopping 4-3 win over Liverpool at Old Trafford, Ten Hag will be hoping this momentum can be carried through to this weekend.
Facing Brentford away from home at night won’t be an easy game for United, and Ivan Toney will be looking to make an impression as he’s linked with an Old Trafford move.
Andre Onana – Goalkeeper
The man in the United goal trying to stop Toney will be Andre Onana.
The Cameroonian has enjoyed some excellent form in goal this season, with early concerns being answered as he’s made the position his own.
Diogo Dalot – Right-back
Diogo Dalot should start at right back as he’s been one of the standout players this season for Ten Hag. As consistent as they come, Dalot has locked down the right-back position.
Raphael Varane and Victor Lindelof – Centre-back
With Harry Maguire and Jonny Evans both suffering injury blows, Ten Hag’s options remain limited. Lisandro Martinez could return, but risking him would be a poor decision.
So that leaves Raphael Varane and Victor Lindelof to start in the centre of defence and they’ll need to be on form to stop Toney.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka – Left-back
Not a natural left-back by any means, but Aaron Wan-Bissaka is the best option we have for this weekend. Impressive in the role against Liverpool, he should get a chance here.
Kobbie Mainoo/Casemiro and Scott McTominay – Central midfield
Scott McTominay is looking likely to start. The other spot is looking a little less certain.
Kobbie Mainoo is dealing with an illness, while Casemiro is getting closer to a return. If Mainoo is not ready to play, expect Casemiro to be pushed a little harder to be ready to start.
Bruno Fernandes – Attacking midfield
In attacking midfield, Bruno Fernandes will start and will be well-rested after being discharged by Portugal early.
Alejandro Garnacho and Marcus Rashford – Wingers
On the wing, both Garnacho and Marcus Rashford will start, as has been so successful in recent months. The pair will swap wings throughout and should be a formidable attack which the Brentford defence will struggle with.
Rasmus Hojlund – Striker
Up front, Rasmus Hojlund should return to Premier League action on Saturday as he looks to continue his incredible scoring streak in the league.
