Peter Schmeichel slams Man Utd star over ‘undisciplined’ mistake he’s making ‘all the time’

Manchester United took on Brentford on Saturday night in a game which finished 1-1, but one player has left Peter Schmeichel fuming.

As Manchester United returned to Premier League action, expectations were high after putting four past Liverpool two weeks ago.

But it quickly became evident that the performance we saw there wasn’t going to be replicated as all momentum was gone.

The team looked like strangers to each other and the attack and defence both looked disjointed during the 1-1 draw.

But there was one thing that was really bugging Peter Schmeichel during the game as he slammed one United player for his display.

Peter Schmeichel slams Manchester United youngster Alejandro Garancho

Speaking on commentary for SuperSport Premier League, Peter Schmeichel tore into the United teenager. Alejandro Garnacho had a poor game and consistently found himself interfering with teammates.

He explained exactly what the Argentine was doing wrong at United.

“You know Garnacho is coming over to the left-hand side, interfering with what Rashford does nearly all the time.

“He was leaving the whole right side empty and it just seemed so undisciplined. I’m very disappointed.”

He then continued to demand that Garnacho stay on the right, “Even if he feels like he’s not in the game, keep the width” because that will help the team.

Garnacho deserves a rest and can’t be blamed for a poor performance

At just 19 years old, Garnacho has been thrust into a key position at the club over the past six months and has started almost every game since that time.

This is a real burden on a player so young and he should probably be rested more often for United.

Against Brentford he looked frustrated but above all else, he looked knackered.

He must be rested against Chelsea in order to protect him from burnout amid what has been a long season for him.
