Manchester United won 3-0 against West Ham United in the Premier League.
It was the most enjoyable 90 minutes in a seriously long time for Manchester United fans. Old Trafford was bouncing and Erik ten Hag‘s men emerged comfortable victors in the early Super Sunday kick-off.
Goals from Rasmus Hojlund and an Alejandro Garnacho double ensured it was a fantastic outing for the Red Devils.
However, there was one thing that could dampen spirits. Lisandro Martinez was forced off with an injury.

Sammy McIlroy on Lisandro Martinez
Martinez went down injured in the second half after a clash with Vladimir Coufal, which didn’t look good. He did play on for a while but was eventually forced off for good just a few minutes later.
Sammy McIlroy spoke immediately about Martinez on MUTV commentary, with a telling verdict which indicates it may not be good news. He said:
“He won’t come off unless there’s anything seriously wrong with him. Let’s hope it’s not ligament damage or anything like that.”
Lisandro Martinez injury – how bad is it?
It’s hard to tell at this point, but with Martine being a very tough cookie, it does take a lot to force him off.
It’s also ever the more worrying given the fact the Argentine is just coming back from a serious long-term injury.
Martinez has been one of Manchester United’s best players since his return. Particularly in this fixture and the dramatic 4-3 clash against Wolves, the Argentine was instrumental from the back.
You could really see how much we missed him. We hope he’s ok and good news follows.
