Manchester United suffered their worst defeat in Premier League history as Erik Ten Hag’s side were embarrassed 7-0 against Liverpool at Anfield.
Here’s a look at the player ratings from the Red Devil’s disappointing loss on Merseyside against Jurgen Klopp’s side…
David De Gea – 4
Was helpless to stop most of Liverpool’s five goals as De Gea was well and truly beaten by some fine finishing from Liverpool’s forwards, with Darwin Nunez’s second arguably a header that the Spaniard could have saved.
Diogo Dalot – 2

Started brightly but fell away completely after Cody Gakpo’s opener before the break. Dalot will want to forget this game quickly after being so embarrassed in the second half by the hosts.
Raphael Varane – 3
Should have done better to deny Gakpo’s opener in the first half and was lacking that connection Varane has formed with Martinez over the season. A night to forget for the French defender as completed the full 90.
Lisandro Martinez – 4
Was skinned by Mohamed Salah as Martinez was left in no-mans-land for Gakpo’s second in what was a game to forget for the Argentine international. Arguably the defender’s most difficult match since his early days at the club.
Luke Shaw – 3

A rare poor performance from Shaw, alongside the rest of the Manchester United defence, as Liverpool overwhelmed the England international. Also gifted Salah the host’s sixth goal of the night.
Casemiro – 5
Not even Casemiro could have saved Manchester United from this sort of performance. Liverpool countered the Brazilian international expertly, and the midfielder endured a frustrating day on Merseyside.
Fred – 5
Was left to deal with an in-form Gakpo with Dalot nowhere to be seen yet still impressed alongside Casemiro. Troubled Liverpool when in possession. Came off on 60 minutes for McTominay.
Antony – 4
Was given the start after impressing against Newcastle United last weekend but failed to show up at Anfield. Went missing for most of the match and was lucky to not get hooked off earlier by Ten Hag.
Bruno Fernandes – 3

Had Manchester United’s best chance of the game with a diving header that just went wide but was mostly a passenger against Liverpool. Lucky to escape a red having shoved the linesman with ten minutes to go.
Marcus Rashford – 5
One of Rashford’s quietest performances since turning into the most in-form winger in world football. Lacked support to cause any damage and fluffed his one chance on goal to break Alisson Becker’s clean sheet.
Wout Weghorst – 5
Failed to create anything as Liverpool’s defence boxed in Weghorst efficiently. Was rightly substituted just before the hour mark in what was a poor performance from the Dutch international.
Subs
Alejandro Garnacho – 4
Came on with 30 minutes to play yet failed to create anything.
Scott McTominay – 4
Gifted Salah the chance to make it 4-0 having just came away from a crunching tackle on Gakpo that could have seen McTominay sent off.
Marcel Sabitzer – 5
Arguably should have started ahead of Fred yet came on too late to make much of a difference in Liverpool’s mauling.
Tyrell Malacia – 5
Did little to stop Liverpool from adding a fifth having come on for Martinez with 15 minutes to go.
Anthony Elanga – 6
Came on with five minutes to go and didn’t do much.
