Team news

Ten Hag has taken a 29-man squad with him to the United States which includes the returning Harry Maguire, Victor Lindelof, Christian Eriksen Scott McTominay and new No.9 Rasmus Hojlund.

All five will be aiming to get their first minutes of pre-season while the likes of Antony, Amad and Jadon Sancho will be hoping for another chance to impress on the flanks.

Youngsters Ethan Wheatler, James Scanlon, Maxi Oyedele, Sam Mather, Jack Fletcher, Toby Collyer, Sam Murray, Will Wish, Rhys Bennett and Hary Amass have also made the trip.

Arsenal, meanwhile, played their first game in LA in a draw with Bournemouth on Thursday. Martin Odegaard, Gabriel Jesus, Leandro Trossard, Jorginho and Aleks Zinchenko all started on the bench so may come into the team to face United.

Prediction

With two friendlies under their belts rather than just one, United likely go into the match the fitter of the two sides and could name a much stronger starting XI thanks to having more senior players on tour.

Ten Hag’s team might just take the win.
