Manchester United moved up to fifth in the Premier League table with a 1-0 home win against West Ham.
The victory was a hard fought three points, with Marcus Rashford’s first half goal making the difference.
There was a strong defensive effort in the second half to hold onto the win, and United can now boast of five clean sheets in the past six games.
David de Gea was picked out as the difference maker by opposing manager David Moyes, with the goalkeeper making a series of vital late saves.

Manchester United supporters were asked to vote for the man of the match award by the club’s official website.
Even in a game in which there were a number of key contributions, De Gea was the overwhelming winner of the poll.

This was De Gea’s best performance of the season, and his recognition from fans is well deserved.
His form has been excellent in recent weeks and he has completely recovered from his early season mishap against Brentford – as have the whole team.
The way his teammates celebrated with him at full-time showed the respect they have for the goalkeeper, who has racked up more than 500 appearances for the club.
