Manchester United fans hailed another strong performance from Aaron Wan-Bissaka in the win over Sevilla.
The right-back was once again preferred to Diogo Dalot for another big European tie, as he was in the win over Barcelona.
Wan-Bissaka has come back into the team strongly in 2023, when it had looked like his career at the club could be coming to an end late last year.
Against Sevilla he justified his recent re-inclusion in the side with another very strong defensive performance.
United just feel like a more secure team defensively when Aaron Wan-Bissaka is in the line-up. Sevilla’s attackers had no success down his side.
A previous complaint about Wan-Bissaka was that he lacked confidence or awareness defending crosses. He did this well against Sevilla
He also looks more comfortable on the ball under Erik ten Hag than he did previously too. His passing was crisp and accurate, keeping it simple and linking up well with Antony.
Wan-Bissaka also drifted infield centrally at times too, as Ten Hag asks of his full-backs. It is a sign of his confidence that he feels able to do so.
United drew the game 2-2 but Wan-Bissaka was not at fault for either of the goals.
