Manchester United earned themselves a point as they drew 0-0 at Anfield.
Erik ten Hag did what no other Premier League side has done the season at Anfield – and that’s take points off Jurgen Klopp’s side.
The performance wasn’t entirely convincing, but any Manchester United fan would have taken a draw before kick-off.
But one thing Red Devils fans can’t agree on is the performance of Sofyan Amrabat. The 27-year-old has left fans seriously divided after his performance against Liverpool.

Man Utd fans criticize Sofyan Amrabat
The Moroccan midfielder had lots of Manchester United fans on his back after his performance against Liverpool. They posted various forms of criticism to X.
One said: “Amrabat is looking Sunday league level here.”
A second adds: “He’s awful, I haven’t seen anything from him yet in a United shirt that makes me think he’s the right level, he worries me every time he’s around the ball.”
“He’s terrible I’d rather Hannibal playing. Amrabat doesn’t have the legs for it would not touch him in the summer,” says another.
“Awful not good enough send him back in January,” a final concludes.
Man Utd fans praise Sofyan Amrabat
But a lot of Manchester United fans disagree. In contrast, many Red Devils fans had nothing but praise for the summer acquisition as he received a barrage of hate.
A first argues: “I don’t know why Amrabat is getting so much heat on here. He’s everywhere, putting in tackles and done more than most of the players. He’s also having to compensate for Mctominay playing as a 10 again and hiding from the ball. Baffling.”
Another adds: “Had a great game, right positions, broke it up, tenacious. Others were invisible. I liked what I saw from Amrabat today.”
“I wonder how our fans watch the game. Amrabat did his job today. I don’t know what more you wanted from him. Even FDJ would struggle playing with Scott McTominay,” a third states.
“He put in a defensive shift of the highest order… Sunday league? Seriously?” a final responds to the ‘Sunday league’ shouts from a conflicting fan.
Amrabat didn’t deserve stick today
Our verdict? Overall, Amrabat did not deserve any criticism for playing one of the hardest roles in arguably the toughest clash in the Premier League season.
The Moroccan showed heart and desire for United and gave his all against a fabulous Liverpool front six. Amrabat has been questioned in the past – but he can hold his head high up today.
