Manchester United fans dropped a clear-cut verdict on Ayden Heaven after the Red Devils’ post-season tie with the Hong Kong national team on Friday afternoon.
The Red Devils travelled to China this week and Manchester United visited the Hong Kong Stadium for their final match of the club’s post-season tour in Asia.
Hong Kong stunned United in the first half after Brazil-born striker Juninho broke the deadlock in the 19th minute and the side took their 1-0 lead into the break.
However, Ruben Amorim’s men fought back in the second half at the Hong Kong Stadium and United climbed back into the contest in China on Friday.
Chido Obi came off the bench after the break and replaced Rasmus Hojlund, with the United teenager making a sensational impact against Hong Kong.
The 17-year-old Red Devils forward cancelled out Juninho’s opener only five minutes into the second half and Chido Obi put United 2-1 up in the 82nd minute of the tie.
Following Chido Obi’s stunning brace, Ayden Heaven put his name on the scoresheet deep into injury time and ensured that United sealed a 3-1 win against Hong Kong.

What Man Utd fans were saying about Ayden Heaven’s display vs Hong Kong in the 3-1 win spoke volumes
Ayden Heaven came off the bench and replaced Jonny Evans at the start of the second half in Ruben Amorim’s tactical system for Manchester United.
The 18-year-old defender found the back of the net after he was picked out by Amad Diallo with a cross, with Heaven burying a superb header in injury time.
Heaven arrived at Old Trafford back in February after United signed him from Premier League side Arsenal and he has impressed in the 2024-25 campaign.
Amorim wasted no time in giving Heaven valuable United first-team experience and the Red Devils talent seized the opportunities when they were presented to him.
United fans on social media platform X, formerly Twitter, couldn’t resist poking fun at Arsenal fans for landing both Heaven and Chido Obi from their academy system.
One X user wrote: “Chido Obi and Ayden Heaven. Two players who have a very bright future ahead of them at Man United.”
“Arsenal, thank you for the duo of Heaven x Obi,” another United fan said.
Someone else commented: “Heaven and Chido, man, [the] future is looking bright.”
While a fourth Red Devils supporter wrote: “Heaven and Chido doing bits… if we don’t thank Arsenal, we’re rude!”
And a fifth posted: “Heaven is quickly becoming one of my favourite players at [Man United], TBH. What a coup to get him from Arsenal.”
“Arsenal sold Manchester United diamonds. Heaven and Chido Obi,” somebody else tweeted.
A seventh added: “Another header this time from Heaven makes it [three] for United. Arsenal tears soon.”
“Arsenal really let us have their best academy talents [in] Ayden Heaven and Chido Obi,” an eighth argued.
What is next for Man Utd and Ruben Amorim after the 3-1 victory over the Hong Kong national team?
United are set to return to England after the end of their post-season tour, which started only days after their last Premier League match of the 2024-25 campaign.
Amorim’s side climbed to 15th place in the Premier League table on the final day of the season after United’s 2-0 win over Aston Villa at Old Trafford last Sunday.
Following United’s Premier League encounter with Aston Villa, the Red Devils kicked off their post-season tour earlier this week and visited Malaysia for their first match.
United faced ASEAN All-Stars in Kuala Lumpur on Wednesday afternoon and the Red Devils lost 1-0 in their friendly match at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium.
However, United bounced back from the ASEAN All-Stars match and the Red Devils signed off their post-season tour in winning ways on Friday against Hong Kong.
