Furious Manchester United fans could not hold back their true feelings towards Alejandro Garnacho after his woeful performance for Ruben Amorim’s side against Nottingham Forest.
Ruben Amorim’s men returned to Premier League action on Tuesday evening at City Ground for the first time after the end of the March international break.
Manchester United suffered a 1-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest and Nuno Espirito Santo’s men walked away with three important Premier League points.
Anthony Elanga came back to haunt his former side after he broke the deadlock at City Ground in only the fifth minute with a stunning solo strike for Forest.
Forest held their 1-0 lead over United going into half-time and the Red Devils were unable to mount a successful comeback against Nuno Espirito Santo’s side.
United remain in 13th place in the Premier League table and the Red Devils have only managed 10 wins in 30 league matches in the 2024-25 campaign.
The Red Devils have only eight league matches remaining in the season and are on course for their worst Premier League finish since the league’s inception in 1992.
Alejandro Garnacho started the Forest clash in one of the two No 10 roles in Amorim’s United system and the Red Devils winger saw out the full 90 minutes.

Man Utd fans all agreed on the same point about Alejandro Garnacho after the Premier League defeat vs Nottingham Forest
Alejandro Garnacho dropped a lacklustre display for Manchester United and the 20-year-old Spain-born attacker managed to avoid being subbed off in the match.
The Argentina international failed to link up effectively with United teammate Patrick Dorgu and Garnacho even picked up a booking in the second half at City Ground.
Garnacho was sloppy with his overall performance and United fans on social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, pulled no punches towards the winger.
Red Devils supporters were furious with the United and Argentina winger in the final third, especially for his erratic shooting against Nottingham Forest.
One United fan said: “What a pathetic performance from Garnacho. Never looked up for the pass, just shooting all [of] the time.”
While a second asked: “Why was Garnacho shooting so much from so far with his WEAK foot???”
“Garnacho needs to stop shooting from these stupid distances, man,” another X user wrote.
Somebody else tweeted: “Garnacho just shooting onsite and not considering anything else is so frustrating every time.”
“Garnacho needs to be banned from shooting until he completes [five] progressive passes in the attacking [third]. FFS, man,” a fifth posted.
Another commented: “Garnacho had one of those games where every decision he made is the wrong one – usually shooting too much. Proper Nani stuff.”
A seventh Red Devils supporter suggested: “Garnacho shooting EVERY [sic] time is the most frustrating thing.”
And an eighth simply said: “Garnacho really needs to work on his shooting technique.”
What Ruben Amorim saw from Man Utd’s Premier League performance vs Nottingham Forest at City Ground
Speaking after Forest’s 1-0 win on Tuesday, United manager Ruben Amorim insisted that he could see the Red Devils progressing under him, irrespective of the result.
“I see it in the game,” he told TNT Sports, as per BBC Sport.
“I don’t lie to myself, everyone can say whatever they want to say, but we need to win games. We go to the next game.
“We have [the] Europa League and we have the next game in the Premier League and that is the focus.”
United will now return to Premier League action for the Manchester derby on Sunday afternoon when the Red Devils host Manchester City at Old Trafford.
