Manchester United fans dropped a clear-cut verdict on Alejandro Garnacho after the Red Devils winger’s display against Premier League side Arsenal at Old Trafford.

The Red Devils hosted the Gunners on Sunday and Manchester United and Arsenal walked away with a Premier League point each after an entertaining second half.

United and Arsenal played out a largely lacklustre first half until Bruno Fernandes ignited the Premier League tie by breaking the deadlock before half-time.

Bruno Fernandes stepped up for a free-kick in first-half injury time and smashed a stunning strike past Gunners No 1 David Raya to put United 1-0 up.

However, Arsenal fought back in the second half and the Gunners kept themselves in the Premier League title race thanks to Declan Rice’s equaliser in the 74th minute.

Both United and Arsenal had their chances in the second half to snatch a winner in the match, but neither side could break the 1-1 scoreline at Old Trafford.

Alejandro Garnacho started the match in one of the two No 10 roles in Ruben Amorim’s tactical system for United and he left a lasting impression on fans.

Man Utd fans’ reaction to Alejandro Garnacho’s performance vs Arsenal speaks volumes

Alejandro Garnacho played the full 90 minutes in Sunday’s draw and the Argentina winger impressed with his Manchester United performance against Arsenal.

The 20-year-old Spain-born attacker was deployed as the right-sided No 10 and Garnacho was lively in attack and had a real impact for the Red Devils.

Garnacho superbly linked up with United teammate Noussair Mazraoui, who was played as the wing-back for Ruben Amorim’s side for the Premier League clash.

United fans on social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, said that ‘credit is due’ to Garnacho after the Red Devils star stepped up with his performance.

Red Devils supporters insisted that Garnacho “played his heart out” and United fans were all in agreement that he must play out on the right side instead of the left.

“Garnacho was very, very bright today. Credit where it’s due,” one fan said.

Another tweeted: “Garnacho played his heart out. Played great. He was the best player on the pitch followed by Bruno.”

“Please keep Garnacho at that RW. Don’t want to watch him at LW ever again,” someone else commented.

A fourth wrote: “Garnacho should stay on the right. That is his best position in this run in.”

While a fifth X user posted: “Best Garnacho has played [in] ages. Maybe he should only play on the right.”

Somebody else suggested: “Garnacho was way, way better today. He’s so much better on the right.”

“Credits [sic] to Garnacho. Ran his socks off today,” another added.

And an eighth United supporter claimed: “Garnacho and Mazroui manned that right side well. He’s wasteful as a LW. He should continue on RW, please.”

What Ruben Amorim thought of Alejandro Garnacho’s display for Man Utd

Speaking after the 1-1 Premier League draw, United manager Ruben Amorim insisted that Garnacho produced a “complete” performance against Arsenal.

“It helps when you score a goal and don’t suffer [conceding first], you can feel the energy in the stadium,” he told BBC Match of the Day, as per BBC Sport.

“In this moment, we try to win games, be compact. We were so near in the second half to score a goal.

“We were really competitive and I think that is important. We pushed forward and not back. We had some situations to win the game.

“Arsenal put a lot of men inside the box to win and I think Alejandro Garnacho did a complete game and that helped us a lot.”

United will now return to action on Thursday evening for their crucial second-leg last-16 Europa League clash against Real Sociedad at Old Trafford.
