Manchester United fans have praised the confidence of in-form striker Rasmus Hojlund after his superb performance against Aston Villa at Villa Park on Sunday.
Rasmus Hojlund endured a tough start to life at Old Trafford this season after Manchester United signed him for a hefty £72m transfer fee from Atalanta.
Despite scoring an impressive five times in six Champions League appearances, Hojlund experienced a long goalscoring drought in the Premier League.
The 21-year-old United striker failed to score in his first 14 Premier League matches before he scored the winner against Aston Villa in the 3-2 win last December.
Following on from his performance against Villa at Old Trafford on Boxing Day in 2023, Hojlund has seen a remarkable turnaround in form in the final third.

Hojlund scores against Aston Villa again
Rasmus Hojlund scored and picked up his first assist in the Premier League in Manchester United’s 2-2 draw against Tottenham at Old Trafford last month.
The former Atalanta man also scored in United’s 4-2 victory over League Two side Newport County at the Rodney Parade in the fourth round of the FA Cup in January.
Hojlund carried over his fine form into February, with the United star scoring and assisting in the 4-3 win over Wolves and finding the back of the net in the 3-0 victory against West Ham.
The Denmark international made his impact in the first half against Aston Villa at Villa Park by firing United into the lead in the Premier League clash.
Bruno Fernandes whipped in a corner and Harry Maguire towered above Boubacar Kamara, with the United defender directing the ball back into attack.
Hojlund stayed onside and expertly slotted the ball past Emiliano Martinez from close range, with the United man scoring in his fourth consecutive Premier League match.
Man Utd fans react to Rasmus Hojlund’s performance
United fans on social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, showered Hojlund with praise and said that he looks like a “different animal.”
“Hojlund is starting to look the part, isn’t he? Confidence is everything,” one fan said.
Someone else added: “[Man United] were struggling to find a suitable striker after Van Persie left. Then Rasmus Hojlund happened.”
“Hojlund is in some form. Looks a different animal with confidence,” a third tweeted.
Another posted: “I’m impressed by Rasmus Hojlund, by the way. Goals were always going to come. It was all about confidence and a general good team run.”
A fifth wrote: “Hojlund has definitely found his confidence now.”
While a sixth commented: “Hojlund scores once again, so happy for this guy, this United core is gonna be there for some time man; only up from here.”
And another said: “Yeah, United, we found one. Hojlund is here to stay!”
