Manchester United end derby day in defeat. They lost 3-0 in their own backyard to Pep Guardiola’s side.

Two goals from Erling Haaland and one from Phil Foden were enough to sink United at Old Trafford.

It was a miserable outing from Erik ten Hag‘s side. They were rather lacklustre throughout, with City dominating. There were no real stand-out performers.

Because of this, Manchester United fans are all absolutely insistent that one player needs to be dropped. He’s been abysmal all season.

Manchester United fans call for Marcus Rashford to be dropped

It just didn’t happen once again for Marcus Rashford against Manchester City – but this has been the story of his season. Fans have had enough.

Taking to social media after the fixture, frustrated fans called for Ten Hag to drop him for the next fixture.

‘Rashford needs to get dropped. Enough is enough,’ one writes.

Another adds: ‘Rashford gotta be dropped next game.’

‘Rashford really needed a reality check today and should have been dropped in this derby to let him think about his form and body language since August,’ another user reckons.

‘Rashford has been poor all season. He should be dropped,’ says another.

‘Get Rashford dropped ASAP’ and ‘What does Rashford have to do to get dropped?’ say two more.

‘How Marcus Rashford hasn’t been dropped is completely beyond me,’ a final adds, confused as to how it hasn’t happened yet.

Erik ten Hag needs to make Rashford decision

This is true without a doubt. Ten Hag needs to make a statement that suggests no player is safe from being left out of the squad.

Rashford has had an incredibly easy ride all season and he shouldn’t be exempt from punishment.

You have a young winger in Alejandro Garnacho, desperate for game time. He should really be in contention to start the next game.

Rashford usually epitomises everything that’s good about Manchester United. But this season? He’s been nothing short of woeful.
