Manchester United came from behind to win at Plzen, with two goals from Rasmus Hojlund.
A first ever win in the Czech Republic for Manchester United saw the Red Devils’ unbeaten record in the Europa League continue.
And impressively, this was a first European away victory for Manchester United since the victory over Real Betis in March 2023.
Here is a look at the winners and losers from a much-needed away win…

Winners
Rasmus Hojlund – Where else to start? Manchester United’s Danish striker came off the bench to score twice, taking his tally up to seven goals for the season.
Rasmus Hojlund rescued an SOS after Manchester United had conceded early in the second half to former Derby and Burnley striker Matej Vydra.
Hojlund’s late strike showed focus and determination, and he now has five goals in his last five matches.
Amad – Amad was given a chance to play further forward, away from the wing-back role, and he seemed to relish the opportunity.
The Ivorian was effective with his passing choices, recording a 91 per cent accuracy rate, and he is giving Ruben Amorim a positive dilemma, that he’s good enough for two positions.
Amad worked hard out of possession too, and he looks likely to have sewn up a starting place in the Manchester derby, one way or another.
Bruno Fernandes – Manchester United’s captain provided the match-winning assist for Rasmus Hojlund’s late winner.
The Portuguese midfielder created seven goalscoring chances during the win, and showed that keeping him on the pitch was the right decision, with Ruben Amorim substituting him off early against Nottingham Forest.
Mason Mount – Mason Mount really needed a game like this, where he could feel he played a significant part in the team’s success.
The attacking midfielder came on the for final 30 minutes and helped to turn the game around in United’s favour. He has really put himself into the conversation for a starting spot against City.
Ruben Amorim – Manchester United’s head coach Ruben Amorim avoided a third successive defeat, a tally he has never suffered during his young managerial career.
He had to earn it, using his substitutions to turn the game around, and he will like what he saw, a competitive spirit from a team determined to get the victory.
Amorim has made clear that his players’ mentality is one of the key aspects he wants to focus on, and the circumstances of the come-from-behind win will delight him.

Losers
Andre Onana – Now a second error in successive games, Manchester United fans will hope Andre Onana is not going to spiral now.
Onana has looked so confident lately, and a drop-off in form would be a headache Ruben Amorim could really do without.
The goalkeeper will simply be relieved that his teammates bailed him out this time, ensuring his mistake was not a costly one.
Marcus Rashford – This was another listless performance from Marcus Rashford amid a fresh wave of speculation over his future.
Rashford failed to attempt a shot at goal, and was hooked on 56 minutes. To make matters worse, his replacement Rasmus Hojlund went on to win the game.
Joshua Zirkzee – Summer signing Joshua Zirkzee has failed to convince supporters since joining the club, and he produced a frustrating performance.
The Dutchman went on one mazy run in the first half, but aside from that, he was guilty of giving the ball away far too often.
Zirkzee failed to land a shot on target, and Manchester United need more from a player leading the line.
