Manchester United have announced their starting XI to face Brighton & Hove Albion as Erik Ten Hag looks to make his second domestic cup final this season.

Having crashed out of Europe earlier in the week, the Red Devils will want to return to winning ways in a big way at Wembley Stadium, with an exciting Brighton side standing behind United and a tantalising Manchester derby final in the FA Cup.

Whilst United sit firmly in the driving seat for a UEFA Champions League spot in the Premier League, a second trophy would all but guarantee this season as a major success for Ten Hag, and the Dutch coach can make a big step in making this dream a reality with a win today.

Here’s how United line up this afternoon at Wembley Stadium to take on Brighton in the English capital…

Confirmed Manchester United XI to face Brighton & Hove Albion

De Gea; Wan-Bissaka, Lindelof, Shaw, Dalot, Casemiro, Eriksen, Antony, Fernandes, Rashford; Martial

Substitutes: Butland, Malacia, Williams, Fred, Pellistri, Sabitzer, Elanga, Sancho, Weghorst

Having not started the last three matches, Rashford makes his long-awaited return to the starting XI with Antony Martial leading the line in what is an exciting attacking four, with Antony looking to add another impressive display to his recent run of games.

The other major story from the line-up is Luke Shaw starting in central defence with Harry Maguire out through suspension, with the fullback tasked with taking on one of the most exciting forward lines in the Premier League alongside Victor Lindelof.

With Diogo Dalot once again favoured at left-back, the Portuguese international has another chance to impress in the position having thrived in the role against Nottingham Forest last weekend, though the fullback’s display against Sevilla on Thursday can be forgiven for being forgotten about so quickly.

Having lost the last two fixtures to Brighton, United are aware of what to expect this afternoon, and the Red Devils will have to be on their A-game if they’re to book their ticket to Wembley for the FA Cup final against their noisy Manchester neighbours.
