Manchester United have confirmed their starting XI that will be hoping to get revenge against Leeds United following Wednesday’s 2-2 draw against the Whites.

A fixture that will actually be shown on British TV, Erik Ten Hag’s side have the chance to briefly overtake Manchester City in the Premier League standings if United can secure all three points against Leeds at Elland Road.

The Yorkshire side are still without a permanent manager having failed in luring the likes of Andoni Iraola and Arne Slot to England, with former United coach Chris Armas still part of the three-man caretaking team that will be looking to ruin the Red Devils parade.

Here is the starting XI Ten Hag has gone with ahead of today’s massive league clash…

Confirmed Manchester United XI to face Leeds

Starting XI: De Gea; Dalot, Maguire, Shaw, Malacia; Fred, Sabitzer; Sancho, Fernandes, Rashford; Weghorst

Substitutes: Heaton, Martinez, Varane, Lindelof, Wan-Bissaka, Pellistri, Elanga, Garancho, Iqbal

The biggest news from Manchester United’s starting XI to face Leeds is the return of Harry Maguire, who make his first Premier League start since January’s 3-0 win against AFC Bournemouth in what is the captain’s fifth outing in the league right from the start.

Luke Shaw partners the England international with Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane both missing, with Jadon Sancho also returning to the starting XI after the winger’s impressive cameo against Leeds earlier in the week. Marcus Rashford starts out on the right.

With Casemiro still suspended, deadline day signing Marcel Sabitzer retains his position in central midfielder alongside Fred. Bruno Fernandes also starts with Wout Weghorst leading the line once again for United.
