The big news is that Cristiano Ronaldo starts just his third Premier League game of the season.

Having scored his 701st goal in club football during the 3-0 win against Sheriff Tiraspol on Thursday night, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner comes back into the Premier League starting line-up having been dropped for last weekend’s draw at Chelsea.

Ten Hag has made four changes to the side that beat the Moldovan league leaders in the Europa League.

Tyrell Malacia and the impressive Alejandro Garnacho drop to the bench with Luke Shaw and Marcus Rashford coming into the side.

Victor Lindelof and Antony are not part of the matchday squad and their places in the starting XI are taken by captain Harry Maguire and Anthony Elanga.

After moving onto 99 goals for the Red Devils with a header against Sheriff, Rashford will be hoping to join the Reds’ 100-goal club by netting against the Irons. The England international turns 25 tomorrow.

United did the double over West Ham in the Premier League last season, but Moyes’ men did knock the Reds out of Carabao Cup after winning 1-0 at Old Trafford in the third round.

Ten Hag’s side will climb above Chelsea into fifth place if we beat the Londoners, and will move one point off the Champions League places with a game in hand in the process.
