Erik ten Hag has selected his Manchester United starting line-up for this evening’s crucial Europa League Group E game against Real Sociedad.

The Red Devils need to beat the La Liga side by two goals in order to leapfrog the Spanish opposition to the top of Group E and qualify for the Europa League last-16 instead of facing a third-placed Champions League side in a play-off.

Here is the Manchester United starting line-up Ten Hag has picked to face Real Sociedad.

Starting XI: De Gea, Dalot, Lindelof, Martinez, Shaw, Casemiro, Eriksen, Van de Beek, Fernandes, Garnacho, Ronaldo.

Substitutes: Dubravka, Vitek, Wan-Bissaka, Maguire, Malacia, Fred, McTominay, Iqbal, Rashford, Shoretire, Elanga, Pellistri.

Ten Hag has made three changes to the side that beat West Ham United 1-0 at Old Trafford on Sunday.

Victor Lindelof, Donny van de Beek and Alejandro Garnacho come into the side with Harry Maguire, Anthony Elanga and Marcus Rashford dropping to the bench.

Forward trio Antony, Jadon Sancho and Anthony Martial didn’t form part of the 23-man travelling squad.

Sociedad have won every game in the Europa League this season while Ten Hag’s side have responded to the opening matchday defeat by reeling off four straight wins.

If the Red Devils fail to beat Sociedad by a two-goal margin at the Reale Arena, we will face either Ajax, Bayer Leverkusen, Barcelona, Sporting Lisbon, Salzburg, Shakhtar Donetsk, Sevilla or Juventus.

The Europa League play-off draw takes place on Monday.
