Following wins over Manchester City and Arsenal in his first two matches in charge, Manchester United interim head coach Michael Carrick now faces a very different match-up against Fulham.

Man United vs Fulham line-up reaction

The Red Devils can climb back to fourth in the Premier League table with a win against Fulham after dropping behind Chelsea and Liverpool on Saturday, so Carrick needs another strong performance.

Carrick provided an injury update in his pre-match press conference, with Patrick Dorgu injured alongside Matthijs de Ligt. Joshua Zirkzee’s return to training was a boost, however.

All eyes were on United’s front line to face Fulham. Matheus Cunha has returned as a starter after being named on the bench against City and Arsenal.

Benjamin Sesko also didn’t start in either of Carrick’s first two matches in charge, and the Slovenian striker remains on the bench to face Fulham.
